Baptism Classes for parents of infants and young children are scheduled regularly throughout the year in both English and Spanish. This is a two hour class. Parents should seek to have their child baptized as soon as they can after birth. Through baptism we enter the Church, are cleansed of original sin, and are adopted as a son or daughter of God. To register, contact the parish office. You will need to bring the child's birth certificate with you. Parents should also have in their minds who they want as their child’s godparents. The qualifications to be a godparent are: 1. Baptized, Confirmed and has received first Holy Communion. 2. At least 16 years of age. 3. If they are married, married by the Catholic Church. If single, living a single life. 4. An active Catholic and someone who would be a role model for the child.
For Adult Baptism (7 years of age and older) please see the section on RCIA. Children and adults older than 7 will need to attend classes before they can be baptized.
